Aida Johnson-Rapp has extensive experience in performing arts, fitness and recreation. Currently she is Director of Group Exercise at the East Bank Club in Chicago. Her classes have been highlighted in the New York Post, Essence Magazine, Chicago Tribune, and Miami Herald, and on CNN and “Windy City Live.” Aida is a RYT 200-hour yoga and mindfulness meditation teacher, registered with Yoga Alliance, holds several other fitness certifications and has been a professional dancer, soldier, cheerleader for the Chicago Bulls, Director of Student Recreation at California State University Northridge, and Special Events Coordinator for Mayor Richard M. Daley of Chicago. She has also trained and performed improv at The Second City in Chicago and along with her husband provide workshops to organizations of all types called “IMPROV AND IMPROVE! The Leadership and Life Lessons of “Yes, And”.
Additionally, Aida served five years as an active member of the U.S. Army and four years in the Illinois Army National Guard Reserves. Aida holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Liberal Arts from Excelsior College in New York, a certificate in Sports and Entertainment management from Columbia College Chicago and a Masters of Arts Management also from Columbia College Chicago.
